South Bass Island State Park
135 campsites, 10 with full service including electric, water & sewage hook-ups is located on the site of enormous Hotel Victory that burned in 1919. The park features showers and latrines updated in 1999 & a dump station. There are also 4 “ca-bents” –a combination cabin and tent–and a rustic cabin available through an Ohio Parks Service lottery. You can launch your fishing boat here at the public ramp, enjoy a family gathering at the picnic shelter, picnic in other areas, fish from the pier, or enjoy sunbathing on the pebble beach against the back drop of the park’s 40-foot cliffs.
