Just a short trip from downtown Put-in-Bay, the Aquatic Visitor Center is your gateway to Lake Erie’s underwater world. Operated by the Ohio Department of Natural Resources Division of Wildlife, the center features hands-on exhibits, live fish displays, and interactive activities that bring science and conservation to life. Kids under age 16 can try fishing from the Aquatic Visitor Center’s pier using provided rods, reels, and bait. Staff are on hand to help and teach basic fishing skills.
Whether you’re visiting for the first time or returning with family and friends, there’s always something new to explore. The center is fully ADA accessible, offering a ramp to the main entrance, a mobility lift to the second floor, and a family restroom to ensure all visitors can enjoy their experience. Admission is free.
