The Lake Erie Islands Historical Society’s popular Silent Auction will once again be part of the Ohio’s Island Wine Fest, hosted by Heineman Winery. The auction will be located adjacent to the Wine Sampling Tent. Auction items, including Put-in-Bay memorabilia, will be available for review and bidding at the event. There is no cost to enter the bidding area to browse through the items and/or place bids throughout the event. The highest bids at closing will win the item. All proceeds benefit the Historical Society.

Come join us as we host Black Swamp Bird Observatory for a Wild Tuesday! This weeks educational nature-themed program is all about birds. This event is free to the public and will be held on the back porch of the LEINWC

We’ll be cruising around the Lake Erie Islands with our friends at Miller Boat Line from 8 pm to 10 pm on Tuesday, June 23, 2026, departing from MBL’s downtown dock.

Tickets are $50 per person and include two free adult beverages,

Save $10 if you join the Lake Erie Islands Historical Society by June 21 during our June Membership Drive.

Your ticket includes appetizers, desserts, bottled water & soft drinks. Wine will also be available.

Pyrate Fest XVIII A Swashbuckling Adventure Awaits at Put-in-Bay Sponsored by Shores & Islands Ohio

Pyrate Fest returns to Put-in-Bay June 26–28, 2026, bringing a full weekend of pirates, mermaids, live cannon fire, and family-friendly fun to the island.

Visitors can explore the Pyrate Encampment & Marketplace, enjoy live demonstrations, and take part in treasure hunts and kids activities throughout the weekend. Costumes are encouraged, adding to the immersive atmosphere across downtown Put-in-Bay.

Highlights include the Pyrate Pub Crawl (21+), live cannon demonstrations, meet-and-greets with Mermaid Tami, and the Antique Car Parade on Sunday.

Come join us and ODNR at the South Bass Island State Park Pavilion to learn about archery and test your skills! This event is free to the public.

Join The Ohio Division of Wildlife and the Lake Erie Islands Nature and Wildlife Center for a kayaking experience at the South Bass Island State Park!

Space is limited for each time slot and pre-registration is required! A new form must be completed for each participant.
