I can’t believe that the 2019 season is upon us here in Put-in-Bay.
This weekend, April 12-14, is the first big weekend with island favorite Frosty Pizza opening Friday. How about a hand muddled drink at the Red Moon Speakeasy or the Pajama Party at Mr. Eds? Then Sunday is the Whisky Light at the Round House Bar, which signals the “season has started” So come on over on the Miller Ferry, leaving from the Catawba Dock in Port Clinton, daily on their regular spring schedule.

Local Island Staples
Enjoy the Frosty Bar famous season opening pizza buffet this Friday. They will be open weekends through April. (419) 285-3278, and while you’re here on the island stop over to Heineman Winery Sales Room daily.
Islanders depend on the Island General Store, open daily (419) 285-4091, if they don’t have it you don’t need it! And right next door is the Island Beverage Center open daily (419) 285-2337.
At the top of the hill at the Miller ferry Lime Kiln dock is Island Bike & Cart Rental featuring both electric and gas golf carts. They’re now open weekends too. (419) 285-2016. Don’t want to drive, when you get to the island? Look for Buck at the Lime Kiln Bus stop, regular trips to the downtown depot starting Friday this weekend (419) 285-4855.
Ready to Step Out?
Head to Red Moon Speak Easy this Friday for their opening night of infused drinks. They will be open weekends (419) 285-2323 as will the Round House Bar (419) 285-2323.
The Reel Bar is now open for food and drinks weekends till May. (419) 285-1318. Get a great Cuban Rueben Sandwich at Island dive bar Topsy Turvey’s at the Wharfside 419-285-2811 daily.

Get outside and camp at South Bass Island State Park now open daily (866) 644-6727, and you can also enjoy any of the Put-in-Bay Township Parks daily, including the Massie Cliffside Preserve (47 Massie Dr) Scheeff East Point Nature Preserve at the east end of the island and the Jane Coates Wild Flower Trail (1962 Put-In-Bay Rd).
