The mooring buoys Put-in-Bay has been long regarded as a plum anchorage while visiting South Bass Island. The proximity to village attractions, the serene setting, and the reliable and trustworthy harbor taxi service all create a rewarding and satisfying boating experience. Boardwalk Harbor Operations manages the mooring field on behalf of the Put-in-Bay Port Authority. Reservations are not allowed, per Port Authority rules. Each mooring ball registrant receives a welcome envelope, and there is no additional fee for service to/from the mooring. USCG licensed captains operate three harbor launches provided by The Boardwalk, which can be hailed on VHF channel 10. Taxi service, from the end of May until Labor Day, runs

Monday & Tuesday – 8am to 6pm
Wednesday & Thursday – 8am to 8pm
Friday & Saturday – 8am to 10pm
Sunday – 8am to 6pm
