Ahoy, adventurers and pirates-at-heart! The fifteenth annual Put-in-Bay Pyrate Fest (sponsored by Shores and Islands Ohio) sails into view from June 23rd to 25th, 2023. Set against the picturesque backdrop of Put-in-Bay, Ohio, the island comes alive with a sea of pirate hats, eye patches, and the promise of an unforgettable voyage into the world of pirates.

This year, we’ve charted a course for even greater adventures, with the exciting addition of sails aboard the legendary tall ship Appledore IV. Experience the unparalleled beauty of a Put-in-Bay sunset on Friday, or feel the thrill of the waves beneath you during the weekend daysails. FRIDAY, JUNE 24th lifts the anchor on our weekend-long Pyrate Fest. Pirates from across the country unite at the Flag Raising ceremony at 4:30pm in downtown DeRivera Park & Harbor, proclaiming the start of “Erie Days Ahead”. Later, adult pirates are invited to embark on the spirited Pyrate Pub Crawl from 5pm to 8pm, indulging in island-flavored, Pyrate-inspired drinks crafted with Malibu Rum. Registration begins in DeRivera Park at 4:30pm.

SATURDAY, JUNE 25th beckons you to step back in time at the Pyrate Encampment & Marketplace, where the early 1800s pirate life comes alive from 10am to 5pm. Captain Jack Sparrow and his Krew will transform the Pyrate Kids Zone into a treasure trove of activities for the young ones, including sword fights, treasure hunts, and even swearing in new members to the Pyrate Krew!

SUNDAY, JUNE 26th continues the high-seas adventures with more of the Pyrate Encampment & Marketplace, interactive kid’s activities, and another thrilling treasure hunt led by Captain Jack Sparrow. Don’t miss out on the Antique Car Parade winding through downtown at 2:00pm, a spectacle cherished by Put-in-Bay!

Experience the thrill of live cannon firings throughout the day, as we recreate the dramatic flair of pirate battles with historically-accurate demonstrations. Led by our Cannon Master Bob Gilmore, these black powder displays are a sight and sound to remember!

Again this year, prepare to be enchanted by our live mermaid, Mermaid Tami! Bring your camera for a keepsake photo that is sure to make a splash!

Embrace the pirate within and dress in your best buccaneer attire! Pyrate Fest XV promises a weekend of swashbuckling fun for the whole family. While the Pyrate Pub Crawl is a venture for adult pirates only, the rest of the fest is a family affair, complete with an interactive kid’s area filled with crafts and games.

Please read the following:

Space is limited and registration is accepted on a first come basis. A display space is equivalent to a single 10’x10′ space in DeRivera Park. The cost is $75 for a display space equal to or less than a 10’x10′ open space for BOTH SATURDAY AND SUNDAY (6/24-6/25). One eight foot table costs $75, two eight foot tables cost $150, etc. Tables will be provided or you may bring your own. The cost is determined by the space rented and not by whether a table is needed. We will only be providing one (1) table per space rented.

Those who bring a pop-up tent will be charged a flat fee of $75. A single eight (8) foot table will be provided if needed. Vendors must provide their own pop-up tent. Pop-up tent spaces will be ten (10) feet by ten (10) feet, so tents should be no bigger than 10’x10’. You MAY NOT exhibit in the park unless you are a part of this show. THIS IS NOT A TENTED EVENT SO IF YOU WANT TO BE UNDER A TENT, YOU MUST BRING YOUR OWN.

Please note,  you will be charged for the space being occupied (10’x10′). No electricity will be provided!

All fees must be paid in advance and are non-refundable.

Set up begins at 8:30am on 06/24. We can not accommodate any early arrivals. Tear down must begin promptly at 5pm on Sunday as vendors must be out of the park by 6pm on Sunday.

Vendors must have some pirate themed or related items. We reserve the right to deny any vendor registration. Any registration fees will be refunded if denied.
