In Put-in-Bay we have great locations, amazing caterers and all the support services required to create your special destination wedding.
Both the Jet Express and Miller Boat Line provide group rates when purchasing transportation for more than 25 people. Island Transportation provides transport on the island for large groups on the Island Tour Train, and Put-in-Bay Taxi also transports groups in their large service vans.
Both Mother of Sorrows Catholic Church and St. Paul’s Episcopal Church offer venues for a religious ceremony. The churches must be contacted directly to determine if their clergy have requirements for using the church for a ceremony.

Boardwalk Main Deck & Upper Deck
Enjoy dining at either of the Boardwalk’s two waterfront restaurants, where our Famous Lobster Bisque is always a featured favorite! The Boardwalk Main Deck offers plenty of patio seating with great views! The Main Deck is a perfect choice for large groups and offers three distinct food concessions where you can place your order right at the counter. The selection of menu items includes: Alaskan King Crab, Key West Shrimp, Grilled Fish Sandwiches, Deli Sandwiches, always popular Burgers and Fresh Fried Perch and Walleye. Relax with one of our special signature cocktails at any of four bar locations and watch the sunset from each of our outdoor decks. The Upper Deck offers table side service in air conditioned comfort and patio seating, both with panoramic views of the Put-in-Bay Harbor. The Upper Deck features a variety of popular Seafood classics, as well as the traditional Steaks, Fresh Salads and Creative Sandwiches. The Upper Deck also features Signature Burgers, Vegetarian and Gluten Free Options, and a Children’s Menu. Hand-shaken Martinis, Specialty Cocktails and a tempting Wine List are available at The Upper Deck.

Enjoy your Island Wedding Reception at Put-in-Bay’s only private club. The Crew’s Nest will cater your reception at their secluded pavilion, The Doller House Mansion or an island site of your choice. Beautiful grounds and exceptional food. Sites located on and near the waterfront, just a short walk from the heart of downtown Put-in-Bay.

DeRivera Park Gazebo
The DeRivera Park Gazebo overlooks Put-in-Bay’s harbor downtown. The fee for using the gazebo is $50, however, the DeRivera Park Trust will waive the fee if the couple signs a waiver agreeing to not have any alcohol in the public park and holding the Trust harmless if someone is injured. The DeRivera Park is located in Put in Bay’s downtown business district. Call in advance to reserve the Gazebo.

Dollar Estate & Put-in-Bay Winery
Situated on the water, directly across from Gibraltar Island, the Put-in-Bay Winery offers tours, tastings, and snacks with a view of Put-in-Bay’s harbor. Schedule a tour of the Dollar House and Put-in-Bay Winery and taste five of the wineries offerings varying from dry to sweet or create your own flight of Put-in-Bay Wines, Pelee Island wines, West Coast or other featured wines to create the ultimate experience. The winery offers a 10% discount on 6-bottle purchases and 20% discount on 12-bottle purchases.
The Historic Victorian, Italianate Doller Mansion built and owned by Valentine Doller, an Island Entrepreneur and former mayor of Put-In-Bay, was built between 1866 and 1885 and is an excellent venue for your next social event. The large lakeside front yard offers a panoramic view for parties up to 400 that few are likely to forget. The picturesque gazebo located in the backyard is ideal for large events. The vast backyard makes plenty of dancing and socializing room for receptions, company picnics/outings, and family reunions. Planning something smaller? Have an intimate birthday, cocktail or dinner party inside this historic home for as few as 15 guests or as large as 60 guests.

Mother of Sorrows Catholic Church
Mother of Sorrows Catholic Church, located on Catawba Avenue, celebrates Mass from May 23 to October 17 on Saturdays at 5:30 and Sunday mornings at 10:30. During the winter, October 24 to May 15, Mass is celebrated only on Sunday mornings at 10:30. St. John’s Lutheran Church (St. John’s@thebay) holds services at Mother of Sorrows on Tuesdays at 5:30 p.m. during the summer season.

Perry’s Victory & International Peace Memorial
Perry’s Victory and International Peace Memorial is a symbol of the long-lasting peace enjoyed by the United States, Great Britain, and Canada. The 352-foot Doric column has an observation platform that offers a 360 degree view of the surrounding islands and mainland.
The Perry Memorial Visitor Center, located on the grounds, offers a 15-minute free movie on the War of 1812 and Battle of Lake Erie. The visitor center also has a display of artifacts, including a British musket, a scale model of the US Brig Lawrence–Perry’s flagship–and a large flat hull diorama of the Battle of Lake Erie as Commodore Oliver Hazard Perry crossed through cannon fire to reach the US Brig Niagara and change the course of the battle.

South Bass Island Lighthouse
Owned and operated by Ohio Sea Grant, visitors to the South Bass Island Lighthouse can climb the tower for a beautiful view and learn about the history of this national historic place. Free and open for tours 11 a.m-5 p.m. Mondays and Tuesdays from June 19-July 18, 2017 or by appointment (groups of 10 or more, $3 pp). The grounds are open dawn from dusk most days, but are occasionally closed for private events.

St. Paul’s Episcopal Church
St. Paul’s Episcopal Church is located at 623 Catawba Avenue. St. Paul ’s offers two Sunday Services from Memorial Day and Labor Day: Sunday Early Riser Eucharist 7:45am and Holy Eucharist at 10:30am. Every other week in the summer there is a Eucharist at Middle Bass at 12:30pm. In September through May Holy Eucharist is celebrated on Sunday mornings at 10:30. St. Paul ’s also offers a guided church history tour of the historic building built in 1865. Call the office to set up a tour time. Self-guided tours are available throughout the week. Other special services are listed on their website. Please contact the church if you are interested in a renewal of wedding vows.
